At Dawn Sport Water Shop, we want you to be as stoked with your gear as we are about the ocean. If your purchase doesn’t make waves for you, our returns process is designed to be as smooth as a morning surf.

Our Return Promise

We accept returns within 15 days of receiving your order for most items (see exceptions below). Your item must be:

  • Unused and in original condition
  • In its original packaging with tags attached
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

⚠️ Non-Returnable Items:

For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Booties, Gloves & Hoods (worn next to skin)
  • Rash Vests (unless packaging is unopened)
  • Custom or special order items
  • Any item showing signs of use or without original tags

How to Return Your Item

  1. Contact Us First: Email [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order with:
    • Your order number
    • Item(s) you wish to return
    • Reason for return
    • Whether you want an exchange or refund
  2. Wait for Approval: Our customer crew will respond within 2 business days with return instructions.
  3. Pack It Up: Securely repackage the item with all original packaging and tags.
  4. Ship It Back: Send to our East Perth warehouse using a trackable shipping method. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty.

Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Timing: Refunds are processed within 5 business days of receiving your return.
  • Method: Refunds will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal).
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Note: Depending on your bank/card issuer, it may take additional time (typically 3-10 business days) for the refund to appear on your statement.

Exchanges

Want to swap for a different size or style? Here’s how:

  1. Follow the standard return process above
  2. Clearly state in your email that you want an exchange and specify the replacement item
  3. We’ll ship the new item once we receive your return (shipping charges may apply)

For faster exchanges, we recommend placing a new order and returning the original item separately.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If your gear arrives damaged or defective:

  • Contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage
  • We’ll arrange a free return label if needed
  • Choose between repair, replacement, or full refund
